About Us

Puffy Pandy is a woman AAPI owned panda themed dessert café in the heart of White Center, Seattle that offers a unique selection of desserts with a focus on Asian inspired flavors. This space was created to share our experimental creations while providing a fun experience for the whole family.

Puffy Pandy came to life in 2022 because of my love for desserts and a desire to create a more family-friendly and inclusive hangout spot in the White Center Neighborhood. So, I did what any sane person would do: I sold my existing business and started a new brand! My team and I spent every waking moment over the next 6 months designing and renovating the space ourselves. All the love, sweat, and tears we put into this space are what make it so special to us. It brings me so much joy and happiness to be able to share it with you all. Why pandas? Pandas hold a very special place in my heart due to my Chinese heritage, but I also truly believe pandas exist in this world to spread love and happiness, which aligns with our purpose. They're also silly and absolutely the cutest with their black and white aesthetics. What's not to love?
Puffy Pandy is named after 2 twin pandas, Puffy & Pandy.

Meet the Owner Donna
Before fully transitioning to baking and entrepreneurship, I had a 10-year career in healthcare IT. I credit my science background for honing my baking skills—exact measurements were crucial, leaving no room for error! In 2013, my mom taught me how to make my first macaron, and from that moment on, I was hooked. I became obsessed with perfecting them, making them whenever I could. Eventually, I started selling them and gradually expanded into wholesale, catering, and markets. During that time, I also established my commercial kitchen in White Center, eventually known as Puffy Pandy. However, in 2018, a health scare prompted me to reassess my life. I made the decision to leave my stable healthcare career and pursue my passion for making desserts, dedicating myself fully to being a small business owner. I'm continuing to learn and grow every day and am forever grateful for all the opportunities I've had. Thank you for being part of my journey
